The Class of ’63 is planning a pre-event for our class during the SMH Neighborhood Reunion Weekend!
Here's the deal: We found a yacht we can charter for three hours Friday afternoon, September 10 -- leaving from the Jefferson Beach Marina and going into Lake St. Clair and then down the Detroit River.
The Wendy K is a 57 foot luxury Chris Craft motor yacht that is fully Coast Guard inspected and certified for passenger travel. Coast Guard approved for up to 45 passengers (we feel that 45 will be too crowded so, we want to keep the group around 20-25). The Wendy K is complete with spacious areas throughout the vessel. The back deck boasts a full service bar area, and an appetizer table complete with comfortable wrap around seating. A sky bridge tops off the vessel where guests can soak up the sun or bask in the moonlight. The forward deck is also a great place to enjoy your cruise with roomy cushioned seating all around. The cruise will cost $52.50 per person and space is limited. Hurry and sign up to join us. To reserve your space on the Wendy K, a deposit of $26.25 is required to Anne Marie by July 20.
Following the cruise, Anne Marie has graciously invited us all to her house for a "pot luck" supper since she lives so close to the marina. If everyone can bring a dish and their favorite beverage, we can have a great meal together and continue to enjoy each other's company. Anne Marie says she will provide a meat entree.
We figure we can have a great day and evening and still get all of us "Medicare-eligible" folks home and to bed at a very reasonable hour -- so we can all enjoy the next day!
